MUMBAI: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has fined greater than 100 folks over one lakh rupee for spitting outdoor as a part of its efforts to curb the unfold of the lethal corona virus.
“A fine of 1.07,000 rupees was collected from 107 people for spitting outdoors. 46 people were also warned,” stated BMC.
On March 18, BMC responded to a tweet from its official Twitter deal with: “Spitting in public spaces will be fined 1,000 rupees or 189 IPC. We will do our best to ensure that there is no such activity takes place in the city, a small collaboration of Mumbaikars in these difficult times will help us to go a long way in our fight against coronavirus. ”
